Marley Turns 4!

My little girl is 4! Princess for the day! We tried to get a pretty picture of her in her princess hat but she will only give me silly poses, I think she was tired of me taking pictures.

She has been pleading with me for months and months to have her birthday party at Chuckee Cheese, but I really just couldn't handle that so we compromised on Jumpin' Jacks. I'm so glad we went, we had so much fun! We invited several friends (mostly kids she likes to hang out with at playgroup) and they got to run around for 2 hours bouncing on the bouncy houses and off the walls!
They had some huge slides, she was a little afraid at first but she got the hang of it fast!

I think mostly because she couldn't let her friend, Kendrick, show her up! He has no fear!

Even Ethan loved the slides, he just needed help getting up!

Thank you to everyone who came!

We have a special tradition for our birthdays handed down by my parents. It's something I love and know makes everyone feel so special on their birthdays! When the birthday person wakes up in the morning, the first thing they get is a present and everyone sings "happy birthday", then again at breakfast and again at lunch. For dinner, they get to pick whatever they want to eat and then cake and ice cream and the rest of their presents. Marley thought she had gone to heaven! Birthday girl for a whole day!

Grandpa Austin came over for dinner (pancakes with strawberries, blueberries, chocolate chips and whipped cream). Then we had the rest of her birthday cake and strawberry ice cream. Marley got to pick her cake out from Target. Each time we go to the store she just needs to check out all the cool cakes, so she finally got to pick out one for herself. She chose the Cinderella cake with Cinderella, Prince Charming and the castle. It was so pretty! When we brought it home from the store and put it in the fridge, she kept opening the door to peek in at it.

Best of all - she got her first bike! She loves it so much, she woke up at 7:30 this morning and wanted to go out and ride it!

Happy Birthday, Marley! We love you!!
