We had SEP Conferences yesterday and Mrs. Anderson had some really cool things to say about Marley. We won't discuss the fact that she talks a little too much in class (oops!) here but WE WILL talk about what a smarty pants she is!
She got all Es (Exceeding End of Year Standard) in all areas, including math, but her greatest achievements ...
The 1st Grade end of year expectation reading level (based on A-Z levels) is an I. She started the year off at level F and now she is at an ... R! That is already 5th grade level.
Her fluency level ... she is supposed to be able to read 1st grade words at 60 words per minute. She did 138 words but in only 40 seconds, and ran out of words!
She is doing so great! She loves to read and it shows. I am very proud of you Marley!

WOW! I saw her sitting on the curb with her chapter book yesterday. :)
YAY, Marley! Reading rocks. And moms that keep you in good books are SMART! ;)
Wowza! Go Marley!
Yippee Marley!! So fantastic.
Reading is so where it's at. Honest. My dad was a teacher and always said if a child loved and excelled at reading everything else would follow. So proud of her.
