Merry Christmas
We had a fantastic Christmas! Here are a few of our favorite moments ...
The ward Christmas party - Santa was a surprise guest and a favorite for sure! I'm so proud of Ethan for not being a scaredy-cat this year with Santa.
Mark and Heather were here this year for the holidays and it was so fun to celebrate Scott's birthday with them here as well. Instead of cake I made a trifle, one of Scott's absolute favorite desserts!
We even took the kids bowling! Fat Cats here in Provo has automatic gutter guards that are programmed to come up as soon as it is a kid's turn.
Marley did an excellent job. She used the ball holder at first but ended up doing a better job without it!
And Ethan liked putting his hands and face in the little fan, so cute!
Ethan used the kid's ball holder too.
After a while though he saw that the adults started out by running and then throwing the ball ... so he had to do that too. Christmas Morning

I love the pictures of the tree right before the kid's come down and start ripping into their presents! It's so magical. Scott was actually the first one up AGAIN this year. He was so excited he woke up early and, even though he was trying to be quiet, ended up waking up the kids! I probably could have used a little more sleep but everyone was just so excited! Santa was sure good to us this year! It's always a bit of a shock to see all the presents set out under the tree - we always seem to go overboard.
We left reindeer food out for Santa's reindeer - they ate most of and made quite the mess on our patio!

This year we celebrated New Year's Eve with the Clegg's. We had a delicious lasagna dinner (so happy that we have Brenda to make us amazing food!) played some Wii and board games, ate crepes and virgin mimosas for dessert and then went outside to make some noise at "midnight" (um ... 9:30). The kids had a blast!
We wish everyone a very happy New Year! May all your wishes for this upcoming year come true and may all your resolutions survive more than a few weeks!

Fun stuff. I love those quiet Christmas morning pictures...the calm before the storm!
I love the picture of your living room with all the gifts and the tree. That captures the feelings of Christmas for me. Peace, warmth...you know, the good stuff without the chaos!
Marley kept telling me about the cupcake maker she asked Santa for. Christmas morning is awesome.
Cute times at the bowling alley too. Love those 2 kids of yours.
When was Scott's bday? Happy Birthday to him. Your trifle looks amazing.
I love all the pictures. Thanks for posting them for me to enjoy.
