BYU Basketball

For Scott's birthday he wanted the weekend season tickets for the family for this year's BYU Basketball season. We have been having a great time going once every week or so to a game. They are not the greatest of seats, as you can see, but it's super fun nonetheless. Ethan especially loves it ... he has really gotten in to the games lately. He follows the ball and knows exactly when to cheer (or boo) and he jumps up and pumps his fists just like his daddy. He even knows part of the words to the BYU Fight Song! And at the end, when it goes "Rah, rah, rah, rah, rah ... go Cougars!" he follows along with the crowd by pumping his fist then rolling his arms and then raising his arm for Go Cougars! Marley, on the other hand, has been known to hide under her coat and (sometimes impatiently) wait for it all to be over. They both, however, do love the cheerleaders and Cougarettes ... and don't forget Cosmo!

This weekend was by far the best game we've been to all season ... BYU vs. Utah. Rivalry games are always the best, right? The Marriott Center was absolutely packed and louder than ever. There was a crazy foul in the last minute of the game and the crowd went crazy. One of the Utes knocked a BYU player in the nose and he fell on his back. Ethan was right there with the crowd ... shouting and going crazy. All the way home he kept talking about it. "That guy was naughty, huh Mommy? He punched him right in the face and knocked him down! That was not nice. He had to go out of there right now!"
